Spacing error in typewriter tool

I'm having issues with the typewriter tool. No matter what font I have selected, when the text runs from one line to another, for some reason the tool has put a very large space in between the lines of text.

This occurs either by manually "returning" to the next line, or by automatically flowing to the next line when there is no more room on the same line.

Is a setting off?

Try bringing up the Properties toolbar (ctrl + e). You can check the Typewriter line spacing and decrease as necessary. Once you have the spacing you like, select the Typewriter comment, and right-click to select the Properties. On the Properties menu you can set the "Make Properties Default" for all your new Typewriter comments.
