Submitting Annotated PDF

Hello, I have a requirement that I'm having trouble working out how to meet, though it seems simple enough.

Our system holds PDF documents. I want to be able to serve these to users, on a web page, with annotations enabled and allow them to submit the annotated PDF back to the web server.

We are using LiveCycle and I can switch the annotations on and even allow the Reader plugin to let the user annotate, but I'm having problems working out how to submit the PDF back to the server.

I've tried using the Assembler to put an empty form with a submit button together with the PDF, but it can onl do that while switching off the submit capability.

Anyone have any ideas? Ideally we would have a Submit button elsewhere on the web page, but I haven't seen anything on communicating with the Reader plugin to do this.

It sounds as though you're moving into the realm of a server-based application for commenting. Acrobat 8 is only designed for desktop-based applications. You can take a look at the server-based product for Commenting at: http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/readerextensions/indepth.php
