Text Box Issues

I use text boxes to add notes to my documents. It seems that Acrobat is rather moody as to how easy it is to work with text boxes. Is this because of the different types of documents (scanned vs webpage converted).

Also,

I have a text box that has a title written like this:

Company Name
Project
Date

Source: This was obtained from Accounting.

When I hit out of the box it deletes the blank line between Date and Source..how can I get it to stay? On other text boxes I have this is not a problem..do I have some setting selected that causes this?

I also have another text box that when selected the Properties tool bar says 'no content selected'. My work round...copy paste from another PDF and it worked fine....any ideas why this was?

The second issue (blank lines being removed) was reported here recently by another Acrobat 9 user and I confirmed it on my system. I consider it to be a bug. It's interesting that not all text boxes misbehave.

I work for a company that uses Adobe to make mark-ups on drawings and documents. We previously used Adobe 7 standard and am now currently using Adobe 8 standard. In the previous version when making a text box, if you pick the text box icon and click on screen one time then make your comment and click outside of the box, the box would automatically snap or adjust itself around text. In the new version, it puts a default size text box on screen and does not function the same. When adding text, when it gets to the end of the text box it drops down to next line and we find ourselves spending a lot of extra time adjusting these text boxes, whereas before this was not an issue. We have not received much support from Adobe directly so I am asking for anyone's help that may be able to help us with this lost productivity. Also if there is a text box option menu please advise where this feature is. We make numerous mark-ups per drawing and this is very cumbersome to have to adjust every text box every time. Please respond at earliest convenience.

Thanks for your replies!

I found a work around to the 'removing a blank line issue'. Just add a space at the begining of the line with your spacebar then hit enter and since there is 'something' on the line it will leave it blank.

As for the other issues I'm still at a loss but I'm working on it.
