All,
Thanks in advance for your help. I want to highlight a PDF of a journal article in tow different highlighting styles. I would like 1 of the styles to be the regular colored highlighting.

I would like the other to be a semi-transparent crosshatching (as you can in a textbox in MS word).

Anyone have any ideas about this?

What Is am trying to delinate is:
1. highlighting = "good"
2. not highlighted = "OK"
3. Crosshated = "bad"

Thanks,
Sean

PDF highlights don't have patterns. You can use a different color or a different opacity level, instead.

The cross hatch is a good idea, but it is just not an option on the Highlight Annotation:( but there is a way. You could create a custom stamp that looks like a cross hatch highlight. You'd probably want to make a few of different widths, then just place and resize it.

Of course, there are also different colors of highlight, which might be easier.
