Is Typewriter fixed?

In Acrobat Pro 8 Adobe "broke" the typewriter by requiring the user to click the typewriter button each time before typing.

On a 40 line form, that is 40 extra clicks. It hurts our efficiency and moral.

We are seriously considering uninstalling it and going back to 7.?.

Has this been fixed on 9?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.1.2, Windows

The Typewriter tool in Acrobat 9 has undergone MAJOR improvements across the board. I am quite sure you will be pleased.

On Acrobat Pro9 will I be able to click once on the typewriter button, and then use the tool indefinitely by pointing and clicking with my mouse?

This was how it worked on version 7, and it is the most intuitive and efficient way for all of the tools to work.

Typewriter button/function IS "sticky" in the Acrobat Pro9 release according to tests by leonardr at ADOBE. Thanks Leonard!
