Typewriter tool for Acrobat X

On my verison of Acrobat (8.3.1 Standard)there is the typewriter tool/toolbar. When I installed Acrobat X on a different computer, the option for Typewrite wasn't there. I looked in the commenting toolbar, and I found the "Insert text before cursor" button, but I was wanting to make sure that was it.

The PDF that I was testing it out on didn't have any recognizable text. If that's the Typewriter tool 2.0 I'll just test that out further. I just wanted to make sure that I was on the right track.

-Thanks

Hi dblack,

The typewriter tool was renamed in version X to "Add or Edit Textbox" located in the Tools pane under the Content panel.

Hope this helps,

I think I need to do an update or repair the installation of Acrobat then, because I looked everywhere and there was no icon that looked like the picture in the blog. Thanks for the help though.

Hi,

here's a nice article describing the "typewriter" in Acrobat X.
