A friend going out of business gave me his copy and license for Creative Suite 3, but the ancient computer I installed it on didn't have enough RAM to use it. I really don't want to spend $75 on a $100 computer, and I didn't really NEED that software, so I didn't take care of the RAM issue. When I encountered inconveniences such as file opening defaulting to the 8.0 version (and it wouldn't work) in that package, I found how to work around it.
What I couldn't find a workaround for was creating new PDFs. I even went as far as uninstalling the whole Creative Suite package, uninstalling and reinstalling 5.0 (twice), and still Distiller has disappeared.
Any suggestions, insights, solutions will be most appreciated.
