Acorbat 9.1.2 upgrade fro 9.0.0 does not work

I am currently using Acrobat Pro 9.0.0 on a 8-core quad Mac Pro running under 10.5.7. I tried to upgrade to 9.2.1, downloaded the upgrade, installed it without any problem. BUT, when I checked the upgarded Acrobat 9, it showed that the version was 9.0.0! Also when I checked INfo it showed 9.0.0. When I opened Acrobat, it also showed it was Version .9.0.0. On the other hand, Adobe Acrobat Reader clearly shows 9.2.1 as its version number.

It appears that the upgrade did not work. How do I fix that?

In the install instructions for 9.1.1 I can read:
"Users with version 9.0 should apply the 9.1 update before proceeding with this update to version 9.1.1 "

And for 9.1.2:
"If you have version 9.1 installed, install the 9.1.1 patch first and then download and install this incremental patch"

Try to update from 9.0.0 to 9.1.0, from 9.1.0 to 9.1.1 and from 9.1.1 to 9.1.2.
