Hi,

As a student,I am an average level user of acrobat...I earlier had a 7.0 and recently got 8.0 installed..it worked perfectly fine for 15-20 days..but all of a sudden..past two three days,as i try to open any .pdf it closes down within a span of 10 seconds or so..
also if i try to open distiller..it says acrobat not activated...I dont understand..
my lot of amterial is in pdf format and i am having no access to it..:(
i have event tried reinstalling the Acr8 after uninstalling it fully..
but the problem seems to persist..

any help/comments are welcome..

Try these solutions: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/333/333672.php.

You may have inadvertently turned off the FLEXnet Licensing Service which the program needs to run.
Turning on FLEXnet Licensing Service

1.Open the Services management console.
On Windows XP/2000: Choose Start > Run. Type services.msc in the Run textbox. Press Enter.
2.On Windows Vista/Win7: Click Start. Type services.msc in the Start Search textbox. Right-click services.msc in the Programs list and choose Run As Administrator.
3.In the Services management console locate FLEXnet Licensing Service , right-click FLEXnet Licensing Service and choose Properties.
4.Choose the General tab in the FLEXnet Licensing Service Properties window.
Ensure that the Startup Type is set to any of the Automatic options.
5.Close console and open Acrobat.
