Can I install Acrobat 8 pro on (3) computers without purchasing additional licenses? I have an office pc, a laptop I travel with, and a home pc.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8, Windows

Hi JBorelli,

With the new activation/deactivation scheme Adobe uses now, you can have one license of Acrobat 8 Pro "activated" on 2 computers at once, no more. You can install it on all three computers but you will need to "deactivate" one of the two "active" ones before you will be able to activate it on the third machine. In other words, only two instances with the same serial number can be active at the same time. Hope that makes sense.

Hope that helps,

Dimitri

As a follow up, I am trying to deactivate Acrobat 8 Standard on one computer but the deactivate link is grayed out. Any suggestions on how to get this copy deactivated?

I did this operation by using the add/remove programs in Control Panel (Windows). If I remember correctly; at the end of the process; after I had uninstalled it; there was a link to "deactivate" it. I guess Adobe wants to be sure the program was removed before it will allow deactivation. So you might try that.

Acrobat is probably the program I use most often and I'm learning more every day.
