Acrobat professiona 7 does not work

I got an email from my bank with a pdf statement, when I tried opening it on gmail as a google document, it said "cannot open as you need a password" sure enough the bank had said in their email that I had to use my account number as a password, but when I click on the pdf nothing happens!

Since then by Acrobat Pro 7 does not work at all, I am not able to open any pdf file!!

Wizards out there, Please help

Can you save the PDF locally and then open it? Have you tried doing a Detect and Repair from under the Help menu?
