Acrobat Standard 7.1.0 abrupt shutdown

whenever i try to do any editing in a pdf file Acrobat standard will shutdown with a windows has encountered an error message. i fi go to event viewer it says module acrobat.dll fault address 0x0012c28f

Acrobat Standard 7.0.9, Windows

Do you have any third-party plug-ins installed? Of so, which ones.

What operating system are you running Acrobat 7 under? Have you tried doing a Repair Install from the command under the Help menu?

Were the PDFs that you're editing created in Acrobat or a different PDF creation package?

Win XP Professional
I have tried doing repair. Even uninstalled and reinstalled.
All adobe patches have been loaded.
All documents created in Acrobat Standard 7.0

What program were the PDFs that you're editing created in? You can check this under the File --> Properties menu under the Description tab.Are you launching another program (i.e., Photoshop) to edit the PDF when this error occurs?

The pdf's were created using Adobe Acrobe Standard 7.0 and they open using the same software.

You mention that Acrobat crashes when you "edit" a PDF. Editing capability is only available in Acrobat Pro. Can you explain what you're doing when Acrobat Std. crashes.
