Hi all,

Normally these types of things are not a problem for me, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen.

Acrobat 8 Professional no longer runs, and instead crashes with an error about Acrobat.dll referencing memory that doesn't exist.

In trying to register the dll using regsvr32.exe, I receive an access denied error (80004005), both as the user and as local administrator (of which my user is as well)

However, when logging in as the local administrator the program starts just fine.

I have tried emptying out application data\adobe, local settings\temp\adobe, and renaming any acrobat 8.0 keys i could find in the registry under local users, but to no avail.

I have of course also tried repairing / removing and reinstalling.

Any ideas on the next step? I really dread having to recreate the user's profile, and she will even more so.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.0, Windows

What point update of Acrobat 8 are you running? Also, what Windows OS are you running? Do you have any anti-virus software installed?
