Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended - can't uninstall

I have been trying to uninstall Adobe Acrobat 9.4.5 Pro and haven't succeeded.
I am using Windows 7 32 bits.
I log as an administrator > go to control panel > uninstall a program > select Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and the uninstall process starts. Everything works great next to the end of the uninstalling process when I get the following message:

"Error 1402. Could not open key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{A356DF18-E722-49c9-A49F-65C62149D581}\VersionIndependentProgID. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."

Well, I have tried starting windows in the security mode, but it didn't work as well. It happened the same.

I tried to install a newer version over the installed one, but I got the same message at the end.

I have tried access to the key permissions using regedit but misteriously I don't have permission for that (how come if I am an administrator!?).

I don't know what to do. Will I have to format my HD?

I hope I can get help here.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro Extended 9.4, Windows

I had the same issue: formatting the hard disk was the only solution that works…

You might want to do some googling as to why you can't use Regedit and bust through that wall before trying to recreate civilization.

I did a quick google and came across this: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itproinstall/thread/56fed319-a532-46a4-a384-fd795998c4a3

in short...

Regedit, select your key, right-click-->Permissions-->Advanced-->Owner, select Administrators, Apply. Then grant FC to "System", and, if you like, to "Administrators" also.

There may be easier ways, but this is one way.

Thanks.
