Why do I receive an error that reads, "Adobe Acrobat 8.0 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. It goes on to further indicate" Please tell Microsoft about this problem." You have the option of sending the error report or don't send. Why do I get this? It happens during the bookmarking process.

Try this.

Make sure your system meets the necessary system requirements.

Click Help, Repair Acrobat Installation.

When this is complete, check for Acrobat and Windows updates.

Make sure all browser add-on for Acrobat are enabled.

Thank you for your answer. I am curious as to why we would need to Repair Acrobat Installation. After doing this and loading the update for Adobe from 8.0 to 8.1 the problem has been resolved. What would have happened during normal installation to cause a repair to Acrobat Installation? What does it do?

Also, one problem still remains and that is that when you highlight the title using your select tool and then ctrl b to create a bookmark, after so many pages of bookmarking the bookmark letters will run together with no break/space in between. Such as: AmendatoryEndorsement We then have to edit the bookmark and put the space in between the y and the E. The title on the document correctly shows the spacing but not in the bookmark. Help.....Why does that happen? Fix?
