AdobePDF.dll needed when installing Adobe 8.0 Standard on Vista

I purchased a new laptop with Vista Home Premium preinstalled. When loading Acrobat 8.0 Standard an error message appears stating, "The file 'AdobePDF.dll' on Windows Vista CD-Rom is needed. Type the path where the file is located and click OK.'" I have no Vista CD-Rom because Vista was preloaded on the laptop. Does anyone know how I should proceed to successfully load Acrobat 8.0 Standard?

Thanks,

Chuck B.

You'll need to update Acrobat 8 (to 8.1 or later) and make sure you have the MS hotfix. You can find more detail in the following technical note.
