I have a Windows XP, Adobe Reader 7.0.9 installation that is producing odd colors from black and white PDF documents. The whole document is yellow (sometimes there is a little purple) with white text. I can change the look of the document by changing the accessibility options and replacing with black and white or replacing with system colors which does the same thing and I get the document to look right (black and white) on the screen. However when the document prints it appears to use the yellow and white scheme on a black and white printer so I get a couple of grey boxes as my print out. I've uninstalled Adobe Reader deleted all the file folders and registry entries I could find and reinstalled Adobe Reader and I still get yellow. I can open the PDF file on any of 200 other computers and I get my black and white document. I have checked the system font and color settings they appear to be Windows default. Any suggestions to resolve this issue would be appreciated.
I would try re-creating the preferences folder to see if this corrects the problems. You can do this by following tip number 5 in the following technical note:
