Can Acrobat 8 and Reader 9 be on the same computer?

Quick question. I have someone at my office who wants to know if they can install Adobe Reader 9 on the same computer they have Acrobat 8 on and will they conflict?

Having two acrobat reader in the same computer is not a good idea, it would have a conflict on it i guess.

One only has to look at forums about Acrobat or Reader to see how many users put both Reader and Acrobat on the same system and then can not the PDF files opened by default in a consistent manner or by the program they want to open the PDF.

With Adobe's imaging products one needs to be careful about installing other photo editing products, especially from Nikon, because some the other programs will install special libraries, ACR plug ins, for the conversion of RAW image files that conflict with the Adobe plug in library even though the files have different names.

This is true for Windows only.

Acrobat 4, 5, 8, 9, and Reader 6, 7 are installed on my Mac : no problemo !
