Can't access my Adobe account from my MacBook Pro

I'm new to Mac, and had heard that Acrobat X Pro for Mac would be valuable for me, so I pre-purchased it online back in October.

I subsequently received an email from Adobe saying it is ready to download, but I can't access my Adobe account from my Mac - only from a PC, which obviously is less than ideal to download this software.

I've tried communicating with Adobe "Customer Services" staff but frankly, they seem to be oxygen thieves.

Does anyone know how I can access my account?

Please help.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 10.0, Macintosh

As a user community site we cannot provide assistance with purchases and the Adobe.com website. The Adobe Store usually works the same on all operating systems, and I'm not seeing any cluster of reports from other Mac users today, so I assume it's a problem with your Adobe ID. If your MacBook's browser is set to remember your login on Adobe.com, I suggest logging out and in again to clear any cookies.

If you still can't log in, or you can log in but can't see the download in your Store account, the only way to get immediate technical support is to call Adobe Customer Care:

* 800-833-6687 (US and Canada) 7 days a week, 5am to 7pm (Pacific Time, so it's opening in half an hour)

Be sure to select Option 4 (Technical Support) followed by Option 1 (Installation).

Support is free for this type of issue. There isn't a trial version of Acrobat X for Mac, so the only way to access the installer image is via your Adobe Store downloads page - though if need be you can download the image on another computer (PC etc) and copy it to your Mac - it'll easily fit on a CD or USB stick.

Thanks UVSAR,

I don't believe it's an ID / password problem because I can access the account from a PC, and I've long ago given up any hope of assistance from the individuals within Adobe support.

However your suggestion to copy across from PC to Mac via USB stick is a good one - I trust this will not cause my software to be lost forever?

Anyway, I'll give it a go, and report on the results (if any)

Cheers

OK,

I've done that, but now when trying to open the .dmg file from either downloads or applications, my Mac says it doesn't recognise the file.

I'm beginning to wish I hadn't listened to all the Mac hype.

Any suggestions?
