I've made msi installation file from extracted 9.4 msi file and 9.4.2 msp upg. file.
I used command
msiexec.exe /a path/ar940.msi /p path/ar942.msp
Ther is no error in this operation, but if I try to install it on my pc, I have error message:

Previous version works fine (patch 9.4.1 applied on Full AR9.4.0 installer). I can aplly path 9.4.2 only on full 9.4.0 installer, if I try to apply it on self created 9.4.1 full msi (prepared in same way as described in my first post) i have message that that is wrong version (translation from polish to english: Patch can't be installed by WindowsInstaller because application is not found or is for another version of this application. Check if this application is installed and You have correct patch.)

Let me correct myself. *Normally* patches are not cumulative. In this case, they are. 9.4.2 can be applied over 9.4.0.

Correct, upg 9.4.2.msp can be applied on 9.4.0.msi (I talk about acrobat reader), but in my case it doesn't work.Today I've downloaded AdbeRdrUpd940_mui.zip from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4857
After downloading and unpacking, I applied patch AdbeRdrUpd940_mui_cum.msp on AcroRead.msi (both were in downloaded archive), then I applied patch 9.4.2.msp on this new, patched AcroRead.msi with and I think it works. After installing I have version 9.4.2

We just started as well, but haven't run into anything.
Did you do the same command when you applied 9.4.1? Have you installed 9.4.1? Patches are not cumulative.
