Deactivation

My hard drive died on my old computer. I want to use the Acrobat 8 Professional software I bought on my new computer. But I cannot activate it because of "too many activations." The activation wizard says I should deactivate on the old computer, which is impossibe because it cannot even boot up. How can I deactivate one of my activations WITHOUT being able to connect a dead computer to Adobe online?

Thanks - docbluecollar
