Determine Reader Version in the Browser

Hi,

I've managed to find javascript that detects Reader but it only seems to detect up to 7.0 (it even reports that 8.0 is 7.0). Is there any way to accurately determine the version of Reader/Professional that a user visiting a webpage is using?

This is the Adobe Javascript reference for javascript WITHIN the PDF, isn't it?

What I would like to do is detect the version from a webpage (and, specifically 8.0), not from within the PDF itself.
