How do i differentiate between an adobe5 reader and an adobe5 writer in terms of registry key value.
wherein the registry the reader and writer will make an entry. i want to write a query to pull out from a system whether the application installed is reader or writer, without going into add remove program
Here are the registry settings you were looking for:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat
However, I don't recommend using these settings to perform uninstalls of Acrobat because the installer will uninstall both Reader and Acrobat.
