Hi,
I am using "Adobe Customization Wizard 8" to create an MST file for Adobe Reader 8.1.0. All are fine except for 1 issue which I have been searching for but can not find a solution yet.
From the wizard, if I check mark "Disable display of PDF in browser", it will uncheck the "Display PDF in browser" once Reader 8.1.0 installed but the box is grey out. If I uncheck "Disable display of PDF in browser" in the wizard, it will check the "Display PDF in browser" once reader 8.1.0 installed.
What I am trying to do is for the final installation to have the box "Display PDF in browser" unchecked but that the user still have the option (don't want the box grey out) to check it if they later want to.
Thank you in advance for you help

Think in terms of what Da' Customizer is for (ACW) - to nail down user settings from a corporate deployment perspective. To keep those 'Dang Nabit, end users for mucking everything up!'
Why one remains active after it being set and the other does not, the mind can only wander as to why Adobe has things this way. I can think of a number, and most are probably off the mark by a fair bit.
To get around this, you need to manually punch in the registry hack manually..
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\8.0\Originals
Name: bBrowswerIntegration
Type: DWORD
Data: 0 - unchecked
Name Missing - Checked
Is where this is located.
How to handle this as part of your packaging will, unfortunately, be an exercise left to the user.
Hope this helps!
