I have installed and un-installed Adobe 8 many times trying to get it to work with FrX. After installing it will work with FrX a couple of times and then will no longer work. Adobe keeps on asking me to install, and it is already installed. Adobe will still work with excel and windows at this point but not with FrX. Any help will be appreciated.

I'm Having Similar trouble with our FRx users, and I'm curious if anyone has a solution yet.
I might not be getting this entirely correct, since I'm reciting this from memory, but when they tries to use Adobe PDF in FRX, they get the error.
"Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files.
"C:\Documents and Settings\\Application data\ADOBE\Settings\XXXXXXXXX.Joboptions"where is the persons username and XXXXXXXXX is random garbage. i've seen &Help.joboptions, [][][][]/[][][]/[][]/ffdg/!@!@!@!@!@@!@/&^%@.joboptions. ehs.joboptions. you get the idea.I've repaired acrobat, completely removed anything acrobat and reinstalled acrobat and updated acrobat to 8.12 and still get the same issue.
Everything else I try to print to adobe PDF works with no problem. IE, Office, even SCT and other software programs. no problems except for FRx.
If I had to make a guess, it seems that FRX is interfering with the location of the .joboptions files (especially since they are in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat8\Settings) but it's only a guess. has anyone figured out a fix for this?

I researched elsewhere and was tipped off about a program called EasyPDF that is included on the FRx installation CD.
people suggest using that to generate the PDF's and you'll have no trouble.
and they are correct, it works much better than Acrobat 6.
FRx puts the free Acrobat READER on the CD to view pdf files, but seems to me like they included EasyPDF on the CD for a reason - they had the same problems.
DOV- Adobe needs to learn the KISS method. Your software integrates too much with the OS when all the majority of people really need is a simple/basic PDF generator.
Adobe should include a basic pdf generator with the free version of reader. people that need the advanced functions of Acrobat will seek it out and learn to use it. The majority of us just want something simple.
This is not the first or last time i'm directed away from using Adobe due to incompatibilty with other software.
