I need to recover a serial number for "Acrobat 8.0 Standard" that was installed on my Dell PC (PC #1). I cannot find the original disk with the serial number printed on it. I do however have another identical Acrobat disk from another Dell, (PC#2)

I am re-formatting PC#1 and I will need to re-install Acrobat on this computer. I want to use the disk from PC#2 and use the proper serial number that came with PC #1. How can I recover the serial number from PC#1 before I wipe the computer??

I do not have an online account in which this version was registered, so I cannot get the serial using this method? Isn't the serial number found somwhere on the computer? Is it in the registry? I found an entry but I dont think that is the correct swerial number.

Why is this sio hard to find? After reading many other posts online,... I know I am not the only person with this problem.

This seems a bit ridiculous and very complicated....

There is no other way to find the full serial number from an existing Acrobat installation??

Can I call Adobe to get it? Would they have a way to walk me through getting it?
