How to install adobe acrobat reader 9 when 6 is installed?

I try to install adobe acrobat reader 9 but it keeps saying "I should insert adobe reader disk in drive".Unfortunately i lost the CD from where i installed it.

Hi emerson,
Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader are two separate products.
Reader is for free and you can download latest Reader from the link below:
http://get.adobe.com/reader/?promoid=BUIGO
However Acrobat is paid and you need to buy a license for it.

Its not very clear as to which product you are using.
Can you please share some more detail.

Uninstall Reader. If the installer is missing and it can't uninstall, use a Windows utility to remove it. After that, go through the registry and clean up what you can. You are dealing with a very old version of the product.
