We currently have our corporate users base installed with Acrobat 9.3.1. The installation was done by creating an AIP upto and including Acrobat 9.3.0. We then used this as the base and then installed Acrobat 9.3.1 on top of the 9.3.0 AIP install, already installed on the client. I am in a situation in which creating an Acrobat 9.3.2 AIP and then using the recommended msiexec.exe /i ... REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=vomus ... to do the reinstall is not in the cards. Can I some how use the 9.3.0 AIP to reinstall and then apply the 9.3.2 patch? Or use the Reinstall parameters with the 9.3.2 patch (msiexec /p ...msp REINSTALL=All REINSTALLMODE...). Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't have a strong understanding of these parameters and was hoping some might be able to tell if this can be done or not. Thank you
You need to perform a fresh install of 9.3.0 (msiexec /i.... )
Then for each 9.3.1 AND 9.3.2 you need to perform a patch install which would be something like this:
msiexec /p ...msp REINSTALL=All REINSTALLMODE
So, there would be three msiexec's in a row - one for the main product and one each for the successive patches.
Holler if you have any questions.
