See below. I've uninstalled Reader via Windows (it showed it as an installed program). Reinstaled it - same result. One correction to previous question - it seems that there was a previous version of reader on the machine at one time. Any other suggestions?
Q: Running XP and reader installs without problems but will not load (startup). nothing comes up - it doesn't load (checking via ctrl-alt-del shows nothing loaded). No adobe or windows error messages either. Adobe hasn't been installed on this machine before. When trying to access a pdf file via a website makes IE crash. Any suggestions (haven't found anything on Adobe support on this).
Thanks.
A:Sounds like a bad install - try again.

Have you tried troubleshooting your question on the adobe.com Reader support site? You may want to check out their top issues and reader forums:
