Macintosh error code with Acorbat 8.0

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

After I installed Acrobat 8.0 for Macintosh on my MacBook running 10.4.9 with all Mac updates installed, I have no longer been able to burn files to a DVD-R. During the burn process I get the following message:

The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "Files to backup" could not be read or written.
(Error code -36).

Could not open the data fork of "/Users/gregsmith/Library/Acrobat User Data/8.0_x86/Synchronizer/Commands" (-36).
