Anytime I click on PDF to open it, it seems like the setup for Adobe Reader is triggered bc the window for installation of Adobe Reader appears, stating it can install or repair my current Adobe Reader. If I click next on everything, the file still won't open. I must manually open adobe reader, search for and open the file within adobe reader to see a PDF file.

It's been this way since I installed Windows 7 professional. Have a PC HP Pavilion.

What version of Adobe Reader are you using? The first "official" version to support Windows 7 was Reader 9.2.
Have you tried doing a Repair of your Reader installation (from under the Help menu)? Or, you can also do this through the Windows Control panel. It sounds as though things may have gotten a bit messed up during your Windows 7 upgrade.

Hi Lori!
Thank you for the tip. I uninstalled my reader and downloaded the latest version. Voila, it works!
Thanks again!
