I have Acrobat 8 pro, I use windows xp. The problem I have is when I go to print a pdf, it converts to ms frontpage showing the code for frontpage. I then have to click on ms explorer 7.0 and then it opens up like it should.

I have removed acrobat 8 and reinstalled the program and I get the same results.

The problem started when I was using ms frontpage and wanted to take a pdf and input it into frontpage. I tried using the import option on frontpage and then is when all my problems began. Any ideas.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.1.2

What technique are you using to print your PDF (File --> Print to the Adobe PDF printer)? What program are you printing out of when you encounter this problem? What were you importing into Frontpage -- a PDF, icon, etc?

Anytime I try to print a PDF or open a PDF it brings up the Program MS Front Page and the information is all in computer language. In Front Page I then have to open the page by using the Browser of IE 7.0, that converts the computer language to the proper form. Then I can either read it or print it in the proper form.

The program that comes up when I want to print a PDF that comes up is now MS Front Page.

I was trying to import a PDF into MS Front Page when I created the problem.

Thanks for getting back to me.

Check to make sure that your file association for the .pdf extension in Windows is set to launch Acrobat and not FrontPage. You can find the registered file types under the Folder Options meu in Windows Explorer under File Types tab.
