problem with acrobat 9 extended

I installed Acrobat 9 Extended and since then, every time I right click on a desktop icon I get a windows is configuring acrobat message. if i let it go through it does go away & the right meny opens. I can also click cancel and it will go away. Any idea how to emilinate this and get Acrobat configured without this constant configuring. I even tried uninstalling & reinstalling this program and also V8 and I now get the same error with V8.
