Problems with 9.1 Pro on XP?

After updating 9.0 Pro to 9.1, Acrobat crashed every time it opened a pdf. I did a repair, but no luck. I followed most of the recommendations on the support site and reparied again - no luck. I finally uninstalled and went back to 9.0 and it works fine. Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?

You're not the first to encounter this [url=http://forums.adobe.com/message/1177376#1177376]problem[/url]. There are two things that may help 1) make sure you don't have Reader installed on the same system 2) try using the Microsoft Windows Install Cleanup Utility before reinstalling.

Thanks, lkassuba. Not sure why that didn't come up in my search. I don't have Reader installed, but will try the msi cleanup utility - later. I'm skeptical because I run a pretty clean machine, plus I've got too much time and angst in this over the last 24 hours to try again right away, given 9.0 works fine. I've shut off updates and will just live with 9.0 until it crashes or I have several hours with nothing better to do!
