Reader X frequently locking up

I am running Vista Ultimate 64-bit. I have experienced numerous lockups with Reader X, since installing. For instance, if I go to "Help/Adobe Reader X Help", nothing happens and Reader X locks up, requiring it to be forced closed.

Also, I have experienced a similar issue with a PDF where I have added Comments and saved it. When attempting to reopen the PDF, Reader X locks up again.

I've tried checking for updates (I'm setup to automatically download updates), but it says no updates available.

My Product Information:
Reader 10.0.1, Windows

Well, I finally got it to open. I got up and left the computer as it was trying to open the pdf and when I came back it was open. This is a one page file with 9 comments and only about 76K in size. I opened it again and timed it, it took 2.5 minutes to open! Once it opened, the Help worked, too. So, even though I had closed the document and reopened Reader, when trying to open the Help, it must've had something cached that was holding up opening the Help, too.
