Standard Installation - Error 1316

I have attempted to install Adobe Acrobat 8 on my computer - Windows XP Pro SP2 - error message 1316 appears. In searching the hard drive there is no file called acrostan.msi. How do I fix this?

Hi Melanie,

Is this a version of Acrobat 8 that your company has pre-packaged? acrostan.msi is a file used when packaging a Acrobat installation. See the following post for additional information. This file can also be found on your original Acrobat 8 CD.

I am having this exact same error. I had Acrobat 6 on the computer and then downloaded Acrobat 8 Professional. How do I fix this error message?
