unwanted reconfig of my monitor

When a web site I am visiting invokes the .pdf reader, it always changes the setting of size on my monitor. I then have to minimize the acrobat document, go to Properties, settings, and resize the monitor to where it was before Adobe screwed it up. Why does this happen and how can I prevent it?

My Product Information:
Reader 6, Windows

The only way I know Acrobat viewers influence your monitor views are with the Accessibility Preferences. Open the Preferences (Ctrl/Command + K) and click Accessibility in the left pane. Make sure Replace Document Colors is unchecked and no alternate display settings are enabled.

If you still have a problem, something is going on with your Acrobat installation. This is not normal behavior. You may need to repair the installation or deinstall/reinstall your Acrobat viewer.
