When I attemp to update to the latest version I download the update, install and then it gets to a point and starts rolling back the update, what gives? I done this several time, turn off all other runing programs including anti-virus and still can't get it to update.

Make sure you have uninstalled any previous (registered) versions of Acrobat.

Inspect your system registry to make sure it has been COMPLETELY removed.

Install Acrobat again and download the updates.

If using Windows Vista, run Acrobat as an Administrator.

Hi vmjr,

Please forgive my error in responding to your question.

I assumed you have a registered version of Acrobat 8 that you're having problems installing.

Before Acrobat 8 can install an update it checks for previous versions Acrobat. If you have removed the previous version, re-install it and then run the version 8 upgrade.

I purchased Acrobat 8 Standard upgrage from Acrobat 5 which I had to delete #5
and the new program would not run and would shut down and close out after I tried to do anything. Now I have deleted the new and when I tried to reinstall it tells me my serial number and prior program aren't there so I can not reinstall. How do I get this corrected since there is no telephone # to call for HELP>Thanks Jeff Downs 888-411-5863 Ext 2
