I have just purchased a new pc with Windows Vista and have discovered that my Acrobat 5 is incompatible. How do I upgrade to 8.1 if I am unable to install 5 on my new machine?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 5, Windows

OK - You may purchase an upgrade to 8.1 from 5.x on at the Store on Adobe.com.

As of this AM costs are:
5.x --> 8.1 $159.As an added bonus, you will receive 30 days of access to TotalTraining's coursework on Acrobat 8. Over 12 hours worth.

Not trying to plug this too much - just trying to let you know it may be in your best interests to upgrade.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, Douglas, but if I am unable to install Acrobat 5 on my new PC, how can I install an upgrade (presumably, Acrobat checks to see if there's a previous version already installed)? Thanks.

Sorry for the delay...

The Upgrade is actually a full-installer. As part of the installation it will ask you for either the original installation CD or serial number... or some other bit of info that indicates you have the original installation.

Thanks.
