I am a new user. I just purchased Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended and really like it. I understand that it includes Adobe Presenter as a plugin. However, I cannot find it. I don't see it in PowerPower as a menue, like I see one for Adobe PDF. Where can I find Presenter in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended?

I feel like I can't see the forest through the trees.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro Extended 9.0, Windows

There isn't a toolbar in Powerpoint just a menu. Here is a link to a tutorial that describes how it should look.

What version of Powerpoint and Windows OS are you using? Have you tried doing a Help > Repair Acrobat Installation in an attempt to correct the problem? Also make sure the Presenter plug-in has not been disabled by Microsoft Office:
1. Open PowerPoint and go to the Help menu.
2. Select About Microsoft Office PowerPoint and click on the Disabled Items button.
3. Under the Disabled Items list, check if Adobe Presenter plug-in is listed. If so, select Adobe Presenter from the list and click on the Enable button.

I am having the same problem. I really want to use presenter but no menu choice/

I just installed Adobe Acrobat 9 Extended on a Windows XP SP2 machine running powerpoint 2003 with SP3. There are no menu choices in powerpoint that show for presenter, I checked the pluf-ins as suggested, nothing there.

I forgot to mention that I did not uninstall Acrobat 8 and I dont really want to yet.

OK a little bit more, I read in the ReadMe text the following:

"For installing Presenter, click the “Install Adobe Presenter” from Autoplay splash screen and following the installation steps. In order to activate the Presenter feature, you must install and launch Acrobat 9 Pro Extended at least once to complete Adobe Presenter's licensing process. If this is not done, Presenter will run in Trial mode only which expires after 30 days. "

OK I already installed Pr Extended and either my kids were bugging me and I was not paying attention but I don't remember this prompt.

OK -- I think I figured it out .. I ran the installer again and on the splash screen much to my aging eyes did appear a little button on the left that says "Install Adobe Presenter" right under the huge white button that says "Install ..........".

So I went through the procedure and all seems to be well.

Read the fine print.

Simon's right - Presenter is not installed by default; it's a separate option on the installer window (even if you use 'full install' for Acrobat, it needs to be done manually). Remember, Presenter is not really a part of Acrobat at all, it's an offshoot of the Captivate/Connect Pro family, bundled on the APEX disc as a freebie.

Apart from (obviously) getting the Presenter menu in Powerpoint, you'll know it's done because Presenter's installer drops a sample PPT file on your desktop. There's no standalone "program" to speak of.
