Acrobat 10 Form field calculations

Sorry for the basic topic guys, took the plunge and upgraded to acrobat 10 and I'm making the forms in lifecyle designer 9 i think, but i'm finding it to navigate to what i'm looking for, and the tutorials all relate to earlier adobe versions which as you know look completely different.
I am trying to do basic form calculations e.g. add or subtract the contents of 2 or more fields to place the result in a third field. Simple right! However the original nice and easy text field calculations tab has gone somewhere, probably somewhere warm and far from the UK where its cold.
Now there is a drop down where you can select user input to read only calculation script but it does not lead anywhere. Where does the script go!
Does anyone know where the easy calculations tab is or if it still exists, alternatively where do you put the scripts. I've tried playing with the XML file but I hav'nt used this type of stuff since it was just HTML code (showing my age) and all my efforts appear to be lost.
Appreciate you lowering yourselves to my standard for a couple of mins cheers!

Always new changes in format, syntax, security, etc. Acrobat X is new and not all the tutorials have been updated or created for the new interface, so one needs to make some adjustments. Sort of like the ribbon in the newer versions of MS Office.

LiveCycle Designer is not Acrobat and does not have the same developer interface as Acrobat. You need to open the scripting editor in LiveCycle Designer's 'Design View" page, then from the "Menu" bar select "Windows" and then select "Script Editor" or + + . Pull down the pane adjuster. You can now select the scripting language and the event you want to add a script to.Have you looked under LiveCycle Designer's 'Help' menu option and selected "Scripting Reference"? It has information about the interface, and scripting languages syntax used by LiveCycle Designer. But if you want to do all the work you can always use the 'XML Source' tab. There are now drop downs or simplified field notation options, but the scripting window does provide some auto complete.

If you want to use Acrobat's form development interface, look under the 'Tools' well for the 'Forms' section.

Ah, found what i was looking for in the drop down script banner thanks george. turned out that formcalc rather than script was the easiest solution.
