Acrobat Forms

I have created a form using Acrobat Pro 8. On this form is a button that executes a javascript that connects to an ODBC DSN using ADBJ. When I open this form in reader and click that button "ADBC is not defined" appears in the console. Is there no way to do serious form filling using Acrobat Reader? Are all my end users going to require Acrobat?

My Product Information:
Reader 8, Windows

In the Acrobat JS Ref, ADBC is listed as "Not Available" in Reader. Not at all, not even with Reader Rights Enabling. In Reader you're expected to connect to a DB through a server script like ASP.
