Acrobat Pro 8 - Submitting a Form - Internet Email Option

Hi There

I'm a newbie to this forum, so Hi

I've created a form in Acrobat Pro 8 and created a weblink to host the form

What I need to know is how do I get the submit button to bring up the options box for submitting the FDF file by internet based email or client email software.

At the moment it tries to open either Mac Mail or Outlook Express. Not all of my client have Outlook or Mail configured and I want them to choose the option to send via web-based email or own Outlook or Mail (depending on if they are using PC or Mac)

I cannot find the option in Acrobat Pro 8's Submit a Form action, but I have seen on the web that this is a viable option

Any help will be much appreciated.

Also if anyone knows how I can submit FDF data from the form to my website as I have a simple website designed in iWeb 08 for Mac and i cannot find the CGI bin

Best wishes

Duroc

I don't think you can force them to only use the web e-mail option. It's just one of the options when submitting as a mailto:

Hiya

Thanks for replying

when you say it's one of the options when submitting as a mailto: that's just it I dont get any options the submit form button always looks for the clients Outlook Express and never gives an option to use Web based email...and some of my clients dont have OE configured

...am i doing something wrong or am I missing an option when setting up the submit button?

Many thanks
