I am trying to re-install Acrobat 6.0 and get the following message:

CANNOT INSTALL ACROBAT 6.0
INTERNAL ERROR 2753
DIST_ACRODIST.EXE

I am running XP Pro with Administrator privileges. I had to uninstall Acrobat with the Microsoft Installer fix package because it would not run any more and kept getting a message that "This patch package could not be opened"

Any ideas would be appreciated.
