I created a form in Adobe Professional 8.0, and I enabled the form for usage in Adobe Reader. When someone opens the form in Adobe Reader 9, all the fields are highlighted in purple (these fields are not highlighted in purple in my version of Adobe). Is there anyway to remove the highlighting when the form is opened in Adobe Reader 9? The reason I ask, is because I have a button set up to e-mail the form only if all required fields are filled in. If the required fields are not filled in, they are to be highlighted yellow. This special highlighting does not appear in Adobe Reader 9, because all fields are already highlighted in purple.

There are user appliction options to highlight fields and highlight required fields. you can change the user's preference with the 'runtimeHighlight' and change the 'runtimeHighlightColor' app properties. Be aware that this setting can change the user's preferences. See the Acrobat JS API Reference for more information.
