I wanted to insert a text field in a PDF document in acrobat 7 using the following options:
Tools > Advanced Editing > Text Field Tool. But the "Text Field Tool" option is grayed out(not active). any one help to make it active.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 7.0.8, Windows

Hi CyberShiva,

Is there any security on the PDF? You can check by going to File->Properties, and look under the Security tab.Or, was the PDF created in LiveCycle Designer? Check this in File->Properties, under the Description tab in the Advanced section look for what the "PDF Producer" is listed as. If it is a LiveCycle Designer created PDF then you will have to add the text field in LiveCycle Designer, not Acrobat ( these are two completlely separate software programs that are not intercahngable as far as form editing goes).Hope this helps,

I want to explain the problem I am facing. I designed the PDF form in adobe Designer. When I uplaoded this form in our web application. The fields are taking weird names like: byform[0].by#subform[0].byHeader[0].bytxtBOLNum[0]. Any solution?
