Auto-complete troubles

This was initially a two part question but I figured out half of it just now. My fields in a form were not suggesting entries even though they existed in the entry list. I tried it on my mac and it works perfectly with the same form. It has Reader X on it so I guess perhaps it was a bug in the version I had on my PC. ANYHOW...

Auto complete works fine but once the document is closed the entry list is emptied. (On my PC and my Mac) Is there a setting I don't see that I need to change, because that makes auto complete rather useless otherwise!

How and when do you define the autocomplete list? Are you using the autocompleting feature in Acrobat, or do you build up your own list in the document?

I am just using the built in auto-complete feature. However, I didn't realize that PDFs could be saved in Reader (through extend features) and once that was enabled, it works. Thanks!
