autofill problem

Hi
I have just created a new form. However, when I go to fill in the fields, I see that whatever value I put in one fill is automatically placed in all other fields. So if I put "aaa" in field 5, all 20 other fields now have "aaa." Could someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks so much
Steve

Hi snowy forms,

Do all the fields have the same name? Fields with the same name will automtically fill when any other field with that name is filled in. That is normal behavior and much requested so users don't have to enter something more than once.

If your fields all have different names something else is going on but without more information it's hard to say.

Hope this helps,

Dimitri

You are right! I have changed the names of the fields. Thanks! I have another question. In a numeric field, is there a way to format the field such that the number is centered in the field or right justified?
Thanks

Hi snowy forms,

Sure. In the Properties dialog for the field set the alignment under the Options tab.

Hope this helps,
