We have a form that works in Reader 8.0, but submits blank when it is filled out in reader 7.0. We have it set to work with 7.0, but no data comes through when it is submited all fields are blank.

I am having a similar issue. Forms created in 7.0 Pro. Data submitted and saved using 6.0 standard. Form data is missing when opened or emailed.

We were using both 7 and 8 here at one stage, untill we noticed a heap of "gremlins" that really were causing major issues. So we decided to do some testing. 3 people had three diiferent version 6, 7 and 8. The form was created in 7 and both 8 and 6 tried to open them in reader. We found that if the form was saved as a dynamic form and there was some script behind fields then 6 could not see the field and would be behave badly. 8, there wasnt too many issues until the 8 user opened the form in live cycle and 15% of the time a field would move or dissappear, or something about the form was different.
However you may want to check to see if you have any scripting behind the saving of the forms. xfa.host.ResetData(); can prevent any user from saving information that entered in to a form. :)

How is your form Submit button configured (FDF/HTML/XFDF/PDF)? Are any of your form elements dynamic? Are your forms Reader-enabled?
