Bullets

When I make a form in Acrobat V.9 pro extended and add bullets to the form, how do I allow the user to choose none of the bullets. I have forms where there is not always going to be a required selection of one box or the other on certain lines, but when there is a selection I need bullets so only one or the other can possibly be selected.

You can use check box fields with the same name and different export values or radio buttons with the same name and different export values and add an extra one labeled 'none of the above'.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have noticed you do that often on this forum and it is much appreciated!

To clarify, I'm overlaying an existing pdf form which I am not allowed to change, so I can't add the "none of the above" bullet. Are you saying I can use check boxes where you can select only one when they are named the same (or none if I don't want to)?

Check boxes will with the same name and different export value property, will allow the selection of only one of the check boxes. The difference between a check box and a radio button is that a check box can be unchecked or unselected but a radio button can not be.

When check boxes or radio buttons have the same name, they become an exclusionary group and only one them can be selected at a time. And the unique value for button (widget) allows the selection of a single item.

Sir, you are a godsend. That option works perfectly for me and without your help I would have been scratching my head for a long long time.
